$1,000 payable on next scheduled paycheck following 30 days of employment and

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position involves the direct face-to-face training of individuals served in Training Center Services. Responsibilities include training profound, moderate, and mildly intellectually/developmentally disabled individuals in the area of Habilitation; participation in Interdisciplinary Team meetings; implementing training of individuals using a variety of training methods; documenting service delivery; supervision of self-administration of medications; and providing transportation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Engages in direct provision of Habilitation Skills training.

Ensure proper and timely documentation of service delivery 100% of the time.

Ensure Habilitation Services are provided in compliance with the required definition in the approved HCS Consumer Principles for Evidentiary Certification 100% of the time.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, Center staff, and members of the community.
- Develops rapport with each individual served in a manner that demonstrates respect with an approach that centers on each person’s goals and preferences.

Maintains compliance with required Center Staff Development Training.

Submits all required documentation within specified timeframes.

Provides transportation for individuals, as required, maintaining Center guidelines and State laws.

Provides direct supervision of self-administration of medications.
- Completes legible and accurate documentation that reflects service provision.

Serves as a member of the service team or provides input as requested and attends team meetings as requested.
- Completes tasks within assigned time lines.

Is consistently available to support individuals served so that programs and services occur without interruption.
- Ensures that internal communications follow departmental procedures with respect to protocol and lines of authority.

Advises supervisor promptly of incidents or situations, which would have an unusual effect on, either positive or negative, on the agency’s mission productivity, or direct services.

Promotes principles of customer service through harmonious interactions with consumers, family members, the community and staff in a manner that supports teamwork and all other aspects of the mission of CCS.

Adheres to all Center Standards of Conduct.

Adheres to State and federal laws, regulations, and agency policy.

No deviations from laws, regulations, policies, or procedures pertaining to the operation of the Center. If deviations do occur, they are reported as needed to the supervisor.

Reports allegations or suspicions of abuse, neglect, or exploitation per Center policy.

Complete all required training without delinquency, including scheduled and consumer specific training.

Regular attendance and reliability is critical to business operations.

Adhere to all emergency and preventative safety procedures in the performance of all work duties.

Identify and immediately report safety hazards to designated personnel.

Must stay compliant with all required training.

Successful completion of all staff development training as required for position.

Perform additional duties as deemed necessary by department supervisor within designated timeframes.

Demonstrate high ethical standards, trustworthiness, and personal integrity. Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness are required for the 8-5 work day or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of program’s processes.

Professional Development - Successfully complete training required to maintain skill competency and cross training to ensure consistency across program procedures. Complete continuing education as required by professional standards and the Center.

Frequent daily driving within the catchment area is required.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education/Licensing/Certification
-
High School diploma or GED.
-
Six months experience working with IDD population preferred.
-
All job specific training must be completed within 30 days of hire.
- Must maintain a valid Texas driver's license, auto liability insurance and a driving record acceptable to the Centers insurance requirements.

Certification in First Aid, CPR and PMAB.
