MJ Holding Company, LLC is the largest North American distributor of trading cards (including gaming, sports, and entertainment), related trading card supplies, collectibles, toys, and hot trend items. We provide retail supply chain management and specialize in category planning, planogram development, initial distribution, replenishment, and merchandising of the modular for our retail partners. We’ve been in the trading card distribution business since 1993. Over the years, we developed an effective category management process that helped grow our retail distribution footprint across all of the United States and Canada. Our expansion has seen the acquisition of 5 companies since 2000, and partnerships with the strongest retail stores and biggest brands in the game.
MJH has a fantastic opportunity for those with a creative leadership background! The Creative Services Director will be responsible for the oversight and direction of the creative services team, as well as end-to-end marketing communications and creative capabilities in support of existing accounts, new customer acquisition, and revenue generation. This role will drive the strategic thinking and creative direction for marketing materials, branding, and company media content to mutually benefit the new markets team, other internal departments, and external vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the foundation of all design needs for the organization, including:

Packaging, including Value-Add support.

Merchandising vehicles and displays.

Product, display photography and videography.
-
E-commerce online content.
-
Marketing materials, i.e., catalogs and sell sheets.

Trade show management
-
Social Media Content & Creation
-
Support live selling.
-
Digital library management.
-
Related legal and regulatory requirements, e.g., copyright, etc.

Studio design and management
-
Manages the projects on behalf of key internal customers and New Markets Lead to achieve marketing objectives, strategies, programs, and policies for all organization products and services.

Understand the brand goals in the marketplace and translate them into specific projects, action plans, and tactics supporting the market leaders’ aims.

Oversee critical design functions to ensure program information and support are effectively delivered.

Identify changes in marketplace trends and customer engagement and enable the new markets team to react to those changes.

Develop and mobilize scalable processes to execute short-term and long-term marketing plans.

Lead and direct all social media content creation and influencer management across multiple platforms, including live selling.

Effective digital asset management of tools and systems used to file and store digital media resources.

Lead the sourcing and cost management of all printed-related matters (USA and Hong Kong.)

Supervise freelance and outsource initiatives projects and cost management (copywriters, photographers).

Proficient handling of legal and copyright management.

Own external Trade show management.

Support Sales Offers.
Requirements:

Education

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience
-
Ten plus (10+) years of experience in creative solutions management and marketing.

Five plus (5+) years managing a team of design professionals in a shifting marketplace.

Retail experience, directly or in a client-service capacity, working directly with 3rd party merchandising firms.

Strong brand development experience in-store, online, and on social media.

Experience executing marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.

Command of creative software and programming.

Experience developing innovative marketing approaches (content advertising, digital, social).

Trading card passion and experience are a plus.
