ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary
1. Repairs plumbing, pipe fitting, and related systems.
2. Operates and uses equipment and tools common to the
plumbing trade.
3. Works in precarious or unusual positions.
4. Cleans work areas.
5. Installs special purpose systems.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Installs, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems, components, fixtures, etc., Performs and develops preventive maintenance for plumbing systems, components, fixtures, etc. Tests, maintains, and repairs fire mains, standpipes, hydrants, sprinkler systems, etc. Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs medical gases and vacuum piping systems.
Participates in the On-Call rotation. Operates tools, equipment, vehicles, etc. necessary to perform duties and responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
HS diploma- or higher. 4-5 years related experience.
