Days: Monday Thru Friday
Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Salary: $20 per hour

Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Human Resources Specialist is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission to positively impact the lives of our members, team members, and community through making meaningful connections and progressive financial solutions.
Provide administrative support for the Human Resources department which includes a range of administrative duties to be handled with confidentiality and discretion when required.
What You'll Do In This Role As Human Resources Specialist:
Track and notify department leaders of all team member document due dates, including performance appraisals, goal reviews and coaching plans.
Send notifications to team members when they become eligible for ancillary benefits.
Assist HR Director in the preparation of the All Staff Meeting presentations and applicable duties on a monthly basis.
Process payroll.
Preparation of new hire onboarding packets and assist with new hire form completion in Paylocity.
Schedule all team member benefits meetings and prepare necessary packets for HR leadership.
Assist with all annual projects for department including but not limited to surveys, audits and vacation schedules as assigned.
Maintain all active and terminated team member files, records, reports including but not limited to benefits, financial, background/bondability, training and personnel.
Pick up the mail from the post office and distribute it out to the appropriate departments.
Maintain inventory, order and distribute all credit union supplies.
Update weekly/monthly spreadsheets utilized by the department.
What You'll Bring To FreeStar Financial As Human Resources Specialist
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
1 to 2 years working in a professional office environment preferred.
1 to 2 years' experience in the Human Resources field preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) Canva is a plus.
