Job Description
As a Shift Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during your shift. You will be responsible for overseeing staff, managing customer satisfaction, maintaining high standards of food quality, and a clean and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Staff: Oversee the daily activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient operation and high-quality service.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to prevent shortages and overages.
- Scheduling: Assist in creating and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Training: Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and standards to maintain consistency and quality.
- Quality Control: Ensure all food items are prepared to the highest standards and served in a timely manner.
- Cash Handling: Manage cash register operations, reconcile daily receipts, and prepare bank deposits.
- Health & Safety: Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the food service industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Familiarity with kitchen operations, customer service standards, and handling busy shifts.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with POS systems, food safety regulations, and inventory management.
- Problem Solving: Ability to quickly assess situations, identify issues, and implement solutions under pressure.
- Attitude: Positive attitude, team player, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Availability: Must be reliable and dependable. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
