This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to our Consulting Department Manager. This position includes occasional travel.
What You Will Do
- Provide consulting service delivery to our clients nationwide. Manage assigned client facilities in both service delivery and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure timely delivery of consulting services according to our contractual obligations.
- Submit internal reports/calendars per company guidelines. Submit client reports after completion of customer projects per company guidelines.
- Maintain effective and timely communication with leadership about customer issues.
- Participate in team meetings, committees, and/or on conference calls.
- Remain current on issues and regulations that affect the industry and long-term care field.
- Always protect the confidentiality of residents and facility information.
- Perform Medicare Compliance audits, and other clinically focused consulting.
- Own other tasks and projects as required and assigned.
What it Takes to Join the Family
- Active Registered Nurse License and RAC-CT certification required.
- Three-to-five years of experience in long-term care required. Clinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet the job requirements.
- Previous experience as a state surveyor, nurse consultant, or healthcare consultant preferred.
- Knowledge of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement required.
- Superior written and verbal skills with the ability to adjust the message to fit the audience. Strong organizational and time management skills
- Consultant must be willing to travel. Some assigned work is performed remotely. Must have a credit card for traveling purposes.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Video Conferencing)
- Engage with a wide base of clients across the organization. Collaborate with interdepartmental team members to complete projects.
- Understand key financial indicators, manage financial performance, and use financial analysis to create and evaluate strategic options and opportunities.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement for skilled nursing facilities.
- Adaptable to change and willingness to learn different processes.
- The company requires employees when working from home, or otherwise remote, to maintain broadband internet access at the address where remote work is being performed.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times.
