The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of our Human Resource division including hiring and interviewing staff, supporting pay, benefits, and leave, employee relations, and enforcing company policies and practices.
In this role, you will partner with teams and leaders to broker HR services. You will actively engage in staffing, organizational development and talent management. You will utilize your HR functional expertise to align human resources principles with business goals objectives. Increase the overall performance of the organization by creating strong interactive partnerships. In addition, you will help to build a workforce that creates a competitive advantage by recruiting, developing, and retaining talent as well as drive continuous improvement and lead change in the organization.
What You Will Do

Provide a broad range of HR support actions for achieving business objectives, including talent management, organization development and employee engagement
- Partner, advise and counsel leaders and senior managers in order to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organization effectiveness
- Ensure proper staffing levels, infuse talent into the organization and improve bench strength
- Objectively assess and bring to resolution employee relations issues
- Counsel employees and leaders on performance management, career planning, and development
- Consult with Compliance and Stakeholder to understand trainings and state required standards
- Drive the coordination and completion of talent health reviews, associated talent calibration activities and associated action plans
- Lead HR core processes: performance management, staffing,
- Partner with local government and schools, professional groups, social media to maintain a talent pipeline
- Working understanding of State, Federal Employment Laws and its correlation to Company Policy and Best Practice

Scheduling/Time Keeping

Perform semi-monthly time reports to ensure accuracy
- Assist with new employee sign ups, basic personnel administration activities, and general administration
- Monitor time and leave related issues, assist employees with access to time keeping systems, resolve questions and provide relevant reports ,
- Oversee the data entry of all time and leave actions with audit reviews
- Review facility schedules for accuracy, and provide recommendations that encourage fiscal responsibility.

Employee Relations

Provides assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving work performance issues
- Resolves manager and employee dissatisfaction by investigating concerns and complaints; evaluating and offering possible courses of action; providing advice, coaching, guidance, and direction
- Ensures compliance with Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), Conflict Resolution, Corrective Action, Suspension, and Termination Guidelines
- Conducts exit interviews when provided the opportunity
- Handles confidential information with discretion
- Provide the necessary support to Human Resources as it pertains to State of Texas Unemployment Claims Processs
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications You Must Have:
Education and Experience:
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
Desired Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred or minimum of 6+ years equivalent experiences in lieu of degree.
- SHRM-CP is a plus
