Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the dual role of Optometric Receptionist and Ophthalmic Technician. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in front-desk responsibilities while also performing technical duties related to optometric care. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, possess a passion for healthcare, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide top-notch customer service during every patient interaction, whether in-person, over the phone, or through electronic communication.
- Efficiently manage appointment scheduling and maintain a well-organized daily schedule for both optometrists.
- Perform preliminary optometric testing and assist in patient education during clinic days.
- Process patient check-outs, handle transactions, and accurately update patient records using our management software.
- Uphold practice protocols and standards, including adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an optometry setting, with a solid understanding of optometric practices and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic office needs.
- Proficiency in office software, including spreadsheets and the ability to learn new technological tools and systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in optometric services is a plus.
