Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient's condition
- Perform triage and prioritize patient needs based on acuity
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient's vital signs and medical history
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Adhere to professional standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines
Skills:
- Proficient in ambulatory surgery center procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques and ability to respond to emergencies
- Experience in behavioral health assessment and intervention
- Familiarity with sonography procedures and interpretation of results
- Strong understanding of medical standards, including infection control practices
- Competency in IV insertion and administration of intravenous medications
- Knowledge of coding systems, such as ICD-10, for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Ability to perform sutures and wound care as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent education/experience
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
