Position Summary
The Student Conservation Association's (SCA) 2024 Atlanta High School Summer Program will have an affinity crew for self-identifying African American high school members, aged 14-19, working in natural areas throughout the Metro Atlanta region. For eight weeks, Crew Members will learn conservation job skills in ecological restoration and will engage in rewarding and valuable physical work outdoors on projects including trail construction and rehabilitation, natural resource management, and park beautification projects. Members will get the experience to work in National and State Parks, as well as work in multiple Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation sites! These paid positions will integrate hands-on restoration work, job skill development, and conservation education. Throughout each week, time will be devoted to learning about the local ecology and environment, conservation career exploration, as well as building teamwork and leadership skills.

June 3, 2024 - July 26, 2024
Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Understand and follow safety protocols; Proactively communicate with leaders if you will be late or miss work;
