Celestar Corporation has an IMMEDIATE NEED and is actively seeking a Human Resources Manager who will report to the Vice President of Human Resources at our headquarters in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct new team member onboarding and out-processing.
- Meet with new employees and provide all company-related information necessary, including policies, benefits, and timekeeping.
- Analyze requests for information on current and former employees, determine appropriate response, and prepare same.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of all company policies and HR related procedures and able to effectively communicate and respond to questions and inquiries regarding application of policies and procedures in individual situations.
- Conduct for information regarding employee leave requests including FMLA, workers' compensation claims, and other types of leave.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices.
- Prepare annual reports, i.e, EEO-1, AAP, Vets, 401(k) audit
- Plan and coordinate HR required training.
- Communicate with VP of HR daily provide updates of tasks in progress and any other relevant HR information.
- Work with Finance to resolve benefit billing issues, update team member personal data, and respond to unemployment claims.
Requirements:
- Minimum of BA degree and 5 years HR experience. Experience at a mid-size or large company a plus.
- SHRM or HRCI Certification
- Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint experience a plus.
- Solution oriented approach to the job, ability to multi-task and switch priorities on short notice.
- Regular and predictable attendance at the office location. (occasional telework)
- Ability to handle stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
Physical Components and Work Environment:
- Must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Position requires ability to work on desktop or laptop computer, sometimes for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports via email or otherwise in written format.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing.
- May be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 15 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
- Work environment: Office type environment with temperature control. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
