The Assistant Director for Our Future Learning Center - Allston is responsible for operational and instructional leadership at the school. They support the Center Director, development of staff, set and evaluate learning objectives with teachers, and work to build rapport with teachers and families.
Education and Professional Certifications
Must be Lead Teacher, Director I, or Director II certified per the Mass. Department of Early Education and Care.
An associates or bachelors in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
Knowledge
Strong time management and organizational skills. Strong understanding of curriculum. Ability to work as a part of a team. Clear understanding of developmentally appropriate practices, including conversations, behaviors, and needs.
Responsibilities
Provides operational and instructional leadership at Our Future Learning Center. The Assistant Director trains and supervises staff, sets instructional objectives, and works to build a rapport with teachers and families. Adheres to the rules and regulations outlined for early education and care for large group settings by EEC, as well as the policies and procedures outlined in the OFLC staff handbook.
During onboarding, and for professional development, will visit all our schools in Allston and Brighton. At times, may assist our other schools.
