Summary
The main responsibility of the CNA/ Med Aide is to coordinate with nursing staff to assist with patient care, medication administration, collecting vitals while observing patients for any changes from their baseline, and collecting samples per order. The goal of the CNA/Med Aide is to keep our patients safe and make sure all needs are met including toileting, bathing, and daily ADLS. As a team member they will assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for both patients and staff. This position is under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Currently licensed as a Nursing Assistant and 40-hour Medication Aide in the state of Nebraska.
- One (1) years of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience in a transitional care unite/skilled nursing facility or hospital experience is preferred.
- Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR prior to hire.
- Ability to bend, lift, and twist 50+lbs with safe body mechanics.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and ability to drive in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
