ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Include:
Demonstrate a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety and provide excellent client care.
- Ensure the well-being of clients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment.
- Provide supervision of 6-8 treatment residents and support the clinical team.
- The ability to handle tense emotional situations with clients. Deescalation skills.
- Document timely, accurate and appropriate clinical information in client's medical record.
- Skills to handle
- Provide case management to 3-4 women at a time including individual and group counseling
- Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for clients.
- Interact routinely with clients, observe and document behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical and nursing staff.
- Complete and maintain required documentation. Assist with follow-up and paperwork as required on incidents and events that may take place in the facility.
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards clients always. Communicate any and all concerns to supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required
- Certified AOD counselor - experienced ONLY
- MUST HAVE experience in addiction recovery residential treatment setting
- MUST HAVE a positive and professional demeanor
- Detail oriented in both observation and application
- Team-oriented personality, abilities, and willingness to be flexible
- Availability for evening and Weekends is a must.
- MUST HAVE current certification with a certifying body, i.e. CCAPP or CADTP
- Experience working in an addiction recovery residential setting
- Familiarity with detox and detox medication procedures
- MUST HAVE a positive and healthy solution-oriented demeanor

- Organizational skills - proficient

- Computer - MS (Word & Excel) and experience with electronic record keeping - proficient
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR and First Aid
- /CADC/SUDCC must be certified
