Overview
The Salesforce Professional Services team is seeking a transformative Senior Director of Analytics and Systems Strategy who will champion our global analytics, business intelligence and systems strategy endeavors. The role is pivotal in enhancing our core technology stack to drive superior data quality and actionable insights. With a distinguished background in professional services leadership within SaaS, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in deploying and overseeing advanced BI systems. This role is instrumental in strategic planning, advancing reporting and analytics capabilities, and developing a deep comprehension of software systems to foster an environment where data-driven decision-making propels our global operations to new heights.
Responsibilities
- Architect and propel a strategic vision for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence, crucial for supporting and advancing global operations, particularly enhancing sales and delivery functions.
- Analytics leader for ProServ sales & delivery strategy, working very closely with the business (helping to lead forecast calls, populate QBRs, etc).
- Lead the elevation of our core technology stack, especially our PSA tool, focusing on data quality improvements to fortify analytics and process improvements to drive positive business outcomes.
- Cultivate a synergistic partnership with the Business Technology team, establishing an operating model that ensures fluid workflow, robust communication, and prioritization of business leaders' needs.
- Dynamically innovate and refine KPIs to align with our evolving strategy, supporting the sales and delivery functions' changing needs.
- Establish an agile operating model within the Analytics and Systems & Tools teams to swiftly address business needs, embedding critical analytics into all operational and strategic processes.
- Direct a high-performing, global team to deliver exceptional analytics and reporting solutions, enhancing decision-making across the organization for our sales and delivery leaders and practitioners.
- Engage closely with License Sales operations, reporting, and compensation teams to align compensation, reporting programs, and processes with the overarching company strategy.
- Lead the maintenance and enhancement of BI systems and reporting tools, acting as a subject matter expert in reporting topics, to support the organization's analytical and reporting needs.
Required Qualifications
- Over 15 years of experience in professional services, with an emphasis on analytics, business intelligence, finance (FP&A), operations, and systems strategy. Must have led a similar function at scale, within a SaaS environment.
- Must have professional services leadership experience, specifically in operations, ideally in FP&A.
- Demonstrated success in BI consulting, system implementation, and the enhancement of technology stacks for improved data quality and analytics both externally for customers and internally to improve business operations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing reporting and analytics solutions across a global organization, with a specific focus on supporting sales and delivery functions, providing guidance and input around how and when to input strategic changes.
- Deep knowledge of professional services specific tools and functionality, such as PSA, CRM, CLM. Beneficial to have experience in our technical stack including Certinia, Salesforce’s full suite of products, Ironclad, and Google workspace.
- Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, demonstrating a strong ability to leverage tools to drive business intelligence.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and manage a globally distributed team.
- Significant project management experience, with a history of improving forecasting processes and operational income estimates.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $192,800 to $320,800.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
