We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Night Yard Maintenance Supervisor who takes initiative and is dedicated to joining our rapidly expanding landscaping company. This crucial role will ensure our trucks and equipment are prepared and ready for the next day's operations, significantly minimizing the time our landscaping maintenance crews spend on preparation each morning. This position is vital in ensuring our teams can quickly load up and head to job sites, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Truck and Equipment Preparation:
Truck Inspection and Maintenance:
- Receive and inspect Landscape Maintenance Crews' trucks upon return each night.
- Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on trucks to ensure they are fully operational and safe for use.
- Refuel all trucks to ensure they are ready for immediate departure in the morning.
- Sharpen mower blades and other cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance during the next day’s operations.
- Inspect and maintain all landscaping equipment, including leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, weed eaters, and other tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and necessary repairs on all equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Preparation for Morning Departure:
- Organize and prepare all trucks and equipment for the next day’s use, ensuring that everything is loaded and ready for quick departure.
- Ensure that all necessary materials and supplies are stocked and available for the crews.
Inventory Management:
- Keep an inventory of all tools and equipment, ensuring that everything is accounted for and in proper working condition.
- Order and restock supplies as necessary to maintain readiness.
Preventative Maintenance and Equipment Operations
- Perform and oversee all preventive maintenance (PM) on trucks and landscaping equipment.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are fully operational and meet safety and performance standards before morning dispatch.
- Conduct regular inspections and address any mechanical issues promptly to avoid disruptions.
Yard Supervision:
- Supervise the night yard operations, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Coordinate with the day crew to ensure smooth handover and continuity of operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard, ensuring all equipment and materials are stored properly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards proactively.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among all team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics preferred.
- Proven Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the landscaping or construction industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of landscaping equipment and truck maintenance.
- Small Engine Repairs: Expertise in diagnosing and repairing small engines, including those in leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, weed eaters, and other landscaping equipment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in performing and overseeing preventive maintenance on trucks and landscaping equipment.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to address mechanical issues promptly and effectively to avoid disruptions.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Safety and Compliance: Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, with the ability to enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
