Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care services to patients 18+, focusing on psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Experience:
- Strong background in psychopharmacology
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Qualifications: MUST HAVE CALIFORNIA LICENSE
- Must be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- An unrestricted California state license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN)
- Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA state license
- No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP)
- Must have BLS card or ability to obtain BLS training (CPR certificate)
