This position is responsible for the verification of quality of the product and adherence to the processes through inspection and testing of incoming material, in-process and final product, and auditing various processes during manufacturing stages. procedures. Position works in coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and other functions to ensure that all quality aspects are addresses with respect to Standard Procedures, National & International Standards and Customer Specifications.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly checks of various process steps and other items or procedures.
- Inspect and / or test incoming materials as per quality plan.
- Use of test equipment to perform tests as per design specifications.
- Perform testing as required to confirm unit meets customer requirements.
- Develop test procedures and Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
- Maintain Calibration Log of test instruments and arrange to calibrate in time.
- Collect NCRs data, analyze for root cause, initiate corrective and preventive actions
- Chart and plot data to perform trend analysis.
- Verify compliance of product per engineering design and customer specifications prior to approving for shipment.
- Audit shop and engineering processes.
- Assist test floor as needed to support customer requirements and schedules.
- Assist Design and Development Departments in collecting data from the shop.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Proficient math, analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
- Proficient interpersonal skills to interface with others as required to adequately describe and explain findings that occur as part of the job.
Preferred:
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent education.
- 1-2 year experience in similar manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of statistical quality control methods.
