Outside Account Executive
We are seeking an Account Executive who will serve as a outside sales representative for our industrial equipment product line and services in a rapidly growing sector of the global economy. The Account Executive will work within a protected territory to represent our various lines of products and services. Our customer base includes companies with a fleet or distribution center(s) as well as businesses in industries such as oil & gas and mining, construction, transportation, food service, hospitality, waste management, healthcare, and many more. This is an outside sales position which will focus on growing our products and service business, including planned maintenance programs, repair services, parts, and accessory products. You will be responsible for growing existing accounts, prospecting and securing new customers, and introducing new products to the territory. This position covers a territory in the greater Houston area.
The Account Executive must have the ability to learn extensive product details and technical specifications that pertain to the specific products. Products and services sold will be explained at the time of interview.
The Account Executive is responsible for establishing and fostering relationships with existing and new customers to generate meaningful sales growth and profitability. This role serves as an expert to answer inquiries with regards to the Company’s industrial products and manages the assigned territory in accordance with company guidelines, requirements, and corporate objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Initiatives
- Supports the Company’s corporate objectives as an expert in sales of the industrial product lines and services.
- Conducts business in accordance to the Company's and General Manager's direction
- Gains and maintains in-depth product knowledge and an understanding of technical specifications. that pertain to the specific products
- Assists the General Manager in identifying the need for new or modified products/services/tactics to meet customer needs
- Maintains a strong knowledge of the competition
- Attends trade shows, industry events and corporate meetings, if necessary
Sales
- Prospects, identifies, and qualifies new customers. Ascertains needs, demos products, negotiates pricing within established guidelines, and closes sales
- Analyzes territory to assess growth potential and hits profitability targets. Evaluates results and takes corrective action as needed
- Develops and maintains relationships with key industrial channel partners and cleaning equipment manufacturers to increase sales leads
- Conducts technical presentations of the Company’s industrial products to demonstrate how the products will solve a specific customer problem. Recommends products to customers, showing how changes will lower costs and improve operations
- Serves as a resource to employees and customers as the industrial product expert to help understand customer requirements, provide sales support, and recommend improved materials or highly reliable cleaning processes that will lower costs or increase production
Administrative
- Tracks sales activities in CRM, writes reports, negotiates contracts and provides customer feedback regarding products
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of successful outside sales experience
- High School Diploma
- Possess great sales skills including: active listening, curiosity (asking questions), relationship building, discipline and consistency
- Ability to present self as subject matter expert in all things related to product line and scientific industrial processes
- Have outstanding technical presentation skills to create and participate in pre-sales, post-sales training programs and sales presentations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships
- Ability to analyze data, interpret information and provide recommendations. Able to weigh alternatives against objectives and arrive at a reasonable solution
- Self-motivated and disciplined, customer service oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong connection to the workplace
- Possess excellent oral and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency and efficiency, and engage others towards results and manage the completion of tasks
- Proficient in Google Docs and/or Microsoft Office, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public
Base Salary
