Iris Memory Care of Tulsa is looking for a full-time housekeeper/maintenance assistant. We are looking for someone who has skills in housekeeping as well as painting, small repairs, and make-readies. The successful candidate will have interest in learning plant operations and maintenance as a sort of apprentice. This is a position with potential for growth for the right candidate.
Experience with painting and basic repairs is a requirement for applications to be considered.
We are a small, freestanding memory care assisted living community conveniently located off of the Creek Turnpike at E 101st and Mingo. We have a small campus with a total of 54 residents split between three buildings. As a community focused on memory care, all of our residents are coping with Alzheimer's or other form of dementia.
Specific Responsibilities:
Ensures completion of all housekeeping and laundry tasks. Assumes responsibility for general cleanliness of the building. Monitors needed janitorial and maintenance work.

Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.

Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies, and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks, as directed.

Communicates chemical, supply, and equipment needs to the Maintenance Director and/or Executive Director.

Maintains required records; notifies the Maintenance Director on observed maintenance issues and/or repairs needed.

Follows cleaning schedules of Resident suites, laundry, kitchen, and common areas to ensure completion of housekeeping tasks.

Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.

Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.

Trains IRIS Team Members on the systems, equipment use, housekeeping, and cleaning standards to include chemical usage, as assigned.
Job Qualifications:

Working knowledge of equipment, supplies, and chemicals used for housekeeping and laundry tasks in public use buildings.

Experience in working in a licensed care setting preferred.
- Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred.
