About the Role:
The Assistant Store Manager provides daily leadership and establishes a work experience in the store that enables NAPA to be the dominant parts supplier in the market. Additionally, achieves maximum market penetration, drives store growth, and increases sales and profitability by creating a superior customer experience, and a culture of employee engagement. Position reports to the Store Manager.

Assist in the development of a store team that consistently delivers high levels of customer service and business results.

Assist the Store Manager plan workloads and assign work schedules on a daily/weekly basis.

Assist the Store Manager in managing all controllable expenses.

Ensure that proper processes and procedures are utilized to minimize inventory shrinkage.

Assist Store Manager to create and maintain a safe work environment and ensure that required safety training occurs in a timely fashion.

Understand, interpret, and comply with Company policies.

Use company training materials and resources to help develop employees.

Help create and sustain a workplace that is respectful of the individual and builds teamwork.

Help drive high standards of performance.

Partner with HR in the areas of hiring, development, coaching, and employee recognition.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

High School Degree or equivalent; college degree in business administration preferred.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a supervisory role. Automotive after-market service industry preferred.

Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.

Strong supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.

Learn and adapt to current technology needs.

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older.

Occasionally required to drive on behalf of the company; must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license.

Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 60 pounds.
