Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation. Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general supervision.
This role will be supporting the 787 team in North Charleston, South Carolina as an Associate or Experienced Quality Engineer. Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze engineering documentation to determine process capability and conformance
- Perform data analysis of defect trends and present findings and recommendations
- Lead projects to identify root cause and eliminate defects and rework
- Execute quality build plan changes
- Recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances
- Perform engineering change review and verification
- Continuous improvement of quality engineering processes
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Charleston, South Carolina location. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering and/or a Technical discipline
- 2+ years experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or another regulated industry
- 2+ years experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution processes
ABET accredited engineering degree
Catia and Novia experience required
787 experience preferred;
This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $46.58/hour -$50.97/hour
