Job Summary:
Jones Road Tree Service is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager / Arborist to join our team. This role is critical to our growth and success, particularly in developing our Plant Health Care division. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a servant attitude, and the ability to lead by example while working closely with the owner and employees to improve overall company performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Health Care Division Development:
- Drive the company towards establishing a full-on Plant Health Care division.
- Leverage the existing soil health program and capitalize on opportunities within the current customer base.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve plant health services and customer satisfaction.
- Sales and Customer Management:
- Increase the recurring customer base beyond the current 70%.
- Manage and maintain over 2 months of backlog, ensuring timely service delivery.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to drive sales growth.
- Process Improvement:
- Assess and enhance existing processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices for safety, customer service, and productivity.
- Develop and standardize operating procedures to ensure consistent service quality.
- Safety & Training Program Execution:
- Lead and enforce the company's safety & training program, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Crew Efficiency:
- Analyze crew performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Provide guidance and support to crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Day-to-Day Operations:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Address operational challenges and implement solutions to improve overall performance.
- Work collaboratively with the owner to set and achieve company goals.
- Leadership:
- Serve as a humble and exemplary leader, motivating and guiding team members.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and support to staff, promoting professional growth and development.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Successful establishment and growth of the Plant Health Care division.
- Increase in recurring customer base beyond 70%.
- Reduction of backlog to ensure timely service delivery.
- Improvement in crew efficiency and productivity metrics.
- Implementation and adherence to enhanced safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in arboriculture, plant health care, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to develop and implement effective processes and procedures.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Sales experience and a track record of driving business growth.
- State of Texas Commercial Pesticide Applicator (Categories 3A/B)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
