JOB SUMMARY:
The Hiring Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining hiring for Providence Companion Care clients and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- Prior scheduling experience preferred.
- Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel, Outlook and Scheduling program.
- Basic medical terminology.
- Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to carry out directions in a complex demanding environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands and adheres to established Providence Companion Care policies and procedures.
- Interview, hire all caregivers, schedule background checks etc.
- Provides an 8 hour training class for all new hires
- Schedules caregiver monthly in-services
- Enters hiring data in CC.(New hire list)
- Maintains State Certification Binder.
- Contacts companions and clients regarding day-to-day changes.
- Works with Regional Manager/Client Relations Director to discern client services required as outlined in service contract, urgent requests and care plans.
- Enters staff and client information into database.
- Maintains staff and client database (e.g. contact list, dates and reminders of TB, client admission, request off forms, client change i.e. hospital admission and discharge).
- Maintains call – in and retention report. Will report all employee documentation to Regional Manager/Director of Client Relations for employees personnel file.
- Performs general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, files, shreds, sort/distributes mail, provides reception and telephone services.
- Creates and maintains client/caregiver information as well as updates clients care plans for clients and companions.
- Hiring Coordinator will notify agency Regional Manager/Director of Client Relations IMMEDIATELY of any accident involving companion or client that occurred while in client’s home/residence.
- Responsible for being resourceful on getting applicants. (Facebook, Indeed, Colleges, CC ETC).
- Schedules CPR classes with Director of Client Relations.
- Hiring Coordinator will provide 1 month notice prior to resigning.
- Assist with introductions, and client intakes.
- Maintaining daily/weekly/monthly reports
- Maintain CC alerts/Dashboard
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Works in all areas where the Agency covers including all counties.
