We are looking for an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team of Veterinary Technicians. The ideal candidate has experience working with pets and is knowledgeable about animal health and behavior. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who is capable of performing a wide variety of tasks, including basic medical work, Customer Service and is able to multi-task effectively. The ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced environment and have experience working in a veterinary setting.

As a BVG veterinary technician, you will work alongside pet health care industry experts to make a difference in the lives of the pets and clients we serve. Responsibilities
o Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
o With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
o Assist with surgeries and procedures
o Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns, medications, and additional treatments.
o Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems, including Avimark.
o Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
o Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
o Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Requirements
Veterinary Technician- (Non-credential or Credentialed) 1+ year
Shifts will be 8-10 hours a day, with some Saturdays required

Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, such as blood work and urinalysis
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays of animals
- Provide basic grooming services, such as bathing and nail trimming
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including training and nutrition
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a veterinary technician program or relevant certification
- Experience working with animals in a veterinary setting preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior, health, and nutrition
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
