The Role

The Sales Manager is an experienced professional with versatile skills, with a focus on selling and servicing rooms-only small groups and support servicing Diplomatic and Entertainment transient segments alongside the segment owner.
Qualifications:
-
Passionate about hospitality with a minimum of 3 years of similar work experience in a luxury 5-star hotel.

An expert in Group Services, a strong leader, natural salesperson and a proven track record in planner and team member engagement.

Excels at communication, both verbal and written.

Flexible and willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Knowledge of Property Management Systems (Infor HMS or Opera) and Delphi.A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
Responsibilities
-
Prepare resumes for groups and ultra-VIP/talent stays prior to group arrival and review details in multi-departmental meetings.
- Coordinate all aspects groups and special reservations assigned to you, including but not limited to: food and beverage requirements, timing of events, Riders, special attention to guests, room type allocation, rooming list, amenities, arrival/departure manifests, bag pulls, luggage storage, billing instructions, authorized signatures, room deliveries, privacy requirements, box storage and delivery and expected food and beverage outlet usage.

Ensure client visits to the hotel are successful by planning carefully and communicating accurate details in advance to all departments.

Conduct pre-and post-conference meetings when it is agreeable with the client.

Adhere to selling policies as set forth by the Area Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Revenue Management.
- Assist clients with group and reservations billing, in coordination with accounting and other departments.
- Opportunity to assist with small group and some special VIP reservation bookings.

Participate in all regular and operational meetings as required.
