The position we are brewing:
The Machine Operator is primarily responsible for operating multiple production packaging lines based on schedule. They frequently work with and assist in directing the activities of Production Specialists assigned to their line. They are expected to take the initiative and operate their lines with a minimum of supervision. They are tasked with insuring that their scheduled work is completed to standard for output and quality each shift, including cleaning and organizing. They complete logs and forms, and perform tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor.
What you will Measure and Blend:
Common functions are to set- up, monitor, operate and maintain machinery at the packaging line to specific output and efficiency standards, labeling, packing product into cases, assembling cases, palletizing product, reworking, repacking, and other general tasks essential to the production environment. Fine-tune and make adjustment to machinery calibrations to improve efficiency and accuracy. Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of machines, following standard operating procedures, health, and safety guidelines. This position may participate as counters during periodic Physical Inventories. They may also serve as trainers for Production Specialists.

Cleaning and Maintenance:
The Machine Operator is responsible for their assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks as outlined in work instructions and the Master Cleaning Schedule.
Material Handling:
Moving pallets of raw materials and finished goods using a pallet jack. Moving miscellaneous production and supply items using a cart and/or hand truck.
Forklift Operation:
The Machine Operator may be required to drive a forklift on occasion, and if so will be licensed in accordance.
Food Safety:
- Support Good Manufacturing Practices by ensuring employees’ proper hygiene, wearing gloves when contacting product or product surfaces, and preventing cross contamination

Support integrated pest management by keeping doors closed when not in use, and reporting any pest activity observed in the work area

Support foreign material control program by keeping work areas free of debris, trash, tools, or parts

Report any food safety or food security concern to supervisor or manager

Your Ingredients:
- High School Diploma or the equivalent is required
-
Experience work in manufacturing or similar environment
- Preferably one (1) year of prior experience within a manufacturing environment with prior experience operating a machinery/equipment

Skilled technicians who control light or heavy machinery

In depth knowledge to perform tasks producing goods such as coffee packing

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Attention to details and concentration along with being precise in their work

Highly detail-oriented and organized

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
