Job Summary
As a Production Associate (Clay) at SPS, you will play a vital role in the production process. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Mix raw components to create clay to exacting standards.
- Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of machinery used.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment efficiently and safely, to facilitate production and warehouse tasks.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Follow production schedules to meet deadlines and production targets
- Accomplish assigned tasks efficiently and prioritizing responsibilities as needed.
- Weigh out smaller materials to contribute to precise formulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
This position reports directly to the Production Manager and offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing company.
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual who embodies the following qualities:
- Preferred: Previous experience with forklift operations and warehouse tasks
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Demonstrated history of creative thinking and the ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to regularly lift and transfer heavy objects up to 50lbs.
- Safety minded person able to follow personal protective equipment protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Quick learner with the ability to absorb new information and confidently apply it.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to ask for clarification when needed, ensuring accuracy in tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ceramics experience is a plus, though not necessary.
