Position Overview:
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates all functional department inputs for the scheduling of finished goods and intermediate products within the Master Scheduling time horizon

Able to review customer contracts for information relevant to scheduling constraints.

Partners with Production and Purchasing to maintain Manufacturing Lead Times (MLT), Standard Hours, and Purchasing Lead Times (PLT).

Leads project kick-off meetings to align all functional groups with the released sales order in an effort to identify additional risks.

Coordinate with Production Control and Stores to direct the timely release of work orders (WO) and the delivery of kits to the shop floor to align with WO start times.

Ensure Master Planning Schedule (dates, progress, and notes) support the current production delivery schedule.

Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and associated services are provided as needed.

Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data
- Creates and reviews shortage reports for outstanding Purchase Orders, delivery dates are confirmed (to include any out-plant processes) expected deliveries meet WO start dates and all purchased/manufactured items are accounted for.

Communicate priorities for processing workflow through receiving, inspection, stores, or other departments to ensure timely delivery

Analyze impact of non-conforming materials (MRB) to determine the appropriate action plan and ensure that internal departments follow up as required

Communicates change in the production schedule to align the Value Stream revenue recognition

Identify product and build flow improvements to eliminate non-value added operations

Responsible for ensuring that the master plan for procurement of raw materials and production of finished goods and intermediates (sub-assemblies) is adhered to in alignment with established supply/demand plans and customer service levels

Provides Make/Buy analysis on manufactured parts

Records data on Forecast vs. Actual results (department metrics)

Competent in all aspects of work responsibilities of Production Control

Creates Bills of Material, modifies Item Cards and process ECO changes as required

Create standard production work orders
- Develop routing operations for guidance of production technicians

Education, Certifications and Experience:
-
AA/AS degree and/or 6-9+ years related experience
-
BA/BS degree with 3-6+ years related experience

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
