About This Role:
ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, is currently looking for a dedicated, driven person to join our family as a Fleet Manager for our growing terminal in Memphis, Tennessee!
The Fleet Manager is responsible for managing the operation for the Dedicated team regarding fleet, customer service, and safety level. In addition, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for keeping their fleet committed to shipments that safely maximize productivity and provide on-time service to the customers. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dispatch and monitor all drivers for productivity and efficiency
- Check Samasara Electronic Logs for USDOT Compliance, as well as MC3 Compliance
- Work with customers to schedule loads and capacity needs at the location, scheduling drivers’
times to fit the customers’ needs
- Work with Trinium to manage the scheduling and dispatching of loads daily
- Ensure loaded containers are returned to the rail or Port withing the range provided by the
customer and/or Steam Ship Line
- Manage rail and port cuts to ensure exports are in gated on time
- Audit driver paperwork to ensure correct documents are uploaded into the correct places
- Build relationships with customers and strive to expand partnerships with them
- Work closely with the CX team to ensure the highest level of customer service as well as assist
with invoicing
- Perform terminal 12 Point truck inspections monthly and send to the safety department
- Work with Safety department to complete Log compliances and correct any driver errors
Education and Experience:
- HS diploma required.
- Alignment with ContainerPort Group’s purpose, brand promise and core values.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous transportation/logistics experience preferred
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
