ROOM ATTENDANT
The Hotel Room Attendant must be able to perform each essential function, as well as the other requirements of this job satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive to this position.)
- Follow and adhere to DraftKings at Casino Queen's Daily Guide to Good Housekeeping.
- Remove linens and garbage from rooms and common areas.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas in the hotel room as well as the outside door as directed by Management.
- Report to workstations and stock carts.
- Pick up keys, assignments, and amenity items from housekeeping.
- Code the room as vacant clean upon completion of cleaning duties.
- Wear latex gloves while cleaning rooms.
- Clean departure/arrival rooms by 4:00 pm.
- Clean and recondition all stay-over guest rooms.
- Report any repair and maintenance problems.
- Stock cart for night staff if needed.
- Replace the stocked cart with the proper storage area at end of the shift.
- Report any safety hazards immediately to your supervisor.
- Greet each guest with a smile that you come in contact with standard Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening Greeting.
- Fill out the proper paperwork for any Lost and Found items and leave the items with Security.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to the essential job functions, the Hotel Room Attendant must be physically capable of performing the following essential physical functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an employee with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to walk long distances.
- Must navigate stairs and ramps. Frequently required to kneel and crouch.
- Must be able to lift, operate, and transport all equipment to satisfactorily perform job duties.
- Must be able to bend twist, turn and stretch as necessary to perform the essential job duties.
- Can push, turn, twist, and pull all equipment to clean the guest rooms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a state Gaming License
- Must be able to comprehend and follow simple instructions as well as Material Safety Data Sheets and chemical handling procedures.
- Must effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be friendly and courteous at all times.
