Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse - Operating Room to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced operating room environment and be proficient in providing high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong foundation in medical procedures, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Duties
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including prepping the surgical site and administering anesthesia as needed.
- Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures, including monitoring vital signs and responding to emergencies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to proper infection control protocols and performing basic sterilization tasks.
- Participate in critical care transport and emergency medicine situations as needed.
- Utilize laboratory results and medical documentation to inform patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Provide tube feeding and other specialized care as required by patients.
- Work in a pediatric setting, providing care to children of all ages and developmental stages.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of patient care needs and ensure that these needs are met.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in an operating room setting, preferably with experience in pediatric surgery.
- Basic life support certification.
- Experience with travel nursing or working in emergency medicine.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with medical documentation software and techniques.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing situations.

Pay: $41.00 - $42.00 per hour
