We are seeking local experienced desk property insurance adjusters who have a quality track record of servicing others to manage property claims from within our client’s Phoenix AZ office. Utilizing technology, you’ll gather information, evaluate losses, determine coverage, and settle claims with minimal supervision. Strong virtual estimating skills are essential, and you’ll work in a telephone-concentrated office environment. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of empathy and integrity, the ability to maintain high claim standards, produce a quality claim file and maintain proactive and consistent contact with customers.

*This is an opportunity to work in a positive environment in the Phoenix AZ office full time. You’ll work Monday-Friday, some overtime may be available based on claim volume, and major holidays off. This position will not convert to remote; you must reside in Phoenix, AZ. Per diem and relocation assistance not provided.
Responsibilities:
· Examines claims forms, policies, endorsements, and client instructions to determine coverage.
· Timely and effectively communicates with insured about coverage and throughout the claims process.
· Maintains accurate claim file documentation.
· Utilizes current technology to investigate property losses, make coverage determination, set reserves, review and analyze written information and estimate damages.
· Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information required by client, local, state, and federal government and by Crawford.
· Settles claims by determining insurance carrier’s liability per client’s instructions and authority levels,
issuing settlement checks, contacting the insured to explain loss settlement details, working with insured’s contractor or authorized representatives as needed to address presented supplements and pursuing subrogation when appropriate.
· Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate complex claims. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
· Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation
Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate determines coverage through analyzing information involving complex policy terms and contingencies.
· Maintains accurate and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process for moderate to complex claims.
· Achieves required Service Level metrics as set forth by client and/or Crawford for claim handling process and service satisfaction surveys.
· Maintains expected case load.
· Maintains company reputation and integrity of insurance products by complying with federal and state regulations, service standards and client requirements.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.
· Always upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct.
· Participates in special projects or performs duties in other areas as requested.
Requirements:

· Ability to properly interpret and apply residential property insurance policies, terms and conditions to claims handling.

· Intermediate computer skills, ability to complete reports by computer.
· Ability to use Xactimate / Xactware and Xactanalysis software applications.

· Acceptable results on pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle
records check.
· Bilingual is a plus.
· High school diploma
· 2-4 years’ experience handling property claims.
Valid adjuster's license in state of residence (where required by law), and all states for which claims will be handled in.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
