We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant 2. This position offers an hourly wage range of $24.75- $34.75 and requires a valid driver's license, as well as U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States. The selected candidate will perform various manual tasks and support our operations in an efficient and safe manner. After 30 days on the job, a comprehensive benefit package will be available, as well as accrued Vacation and Sick Time.
Responsibilities:
· Under limited supervision, perform cleaning and preventative maintenance repairs to warehouse equipment to assure the safety and on-going operation of all equipment in the company.
· Ability to weld and fabricate steel and other metals. (preferred)
· Repairs, dismantles, assembles, and maintains stationary processing equipment such as balers, conveyors, hoppers, electric motors and controls, as well as facility and the maintenance shop.
· Provides systematic safety inspection of warehouse equipment to established state standards including minor electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
· Attends training classes to upgrade skills as the nature and complexity of the warehouse, vehicles and/or equipment change.
· Accurately and efficiently completes paperwork entries relating to the work performed.
· Assists management in the purchase of new equipment or supplies as required.
· May act as a lead warehouse worker instructing and directing others by assigning, reviewing, and checking work.
· Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
· Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does have some supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
Welding Certifications preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1-3 Years in the Waste and Recycling industry experience preferred.
Trained and knowledgeable on all warehouse equipment and vehicles.
Experience working in a maintenance facility or related environment with warehouse, vehicles, and powered processing equipment.
Knowledge of alternating and direct current electrical controls and motor systems.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations and best practices; understanding of potential job hazards
Requirements:
