Job Purpose:
The Senior Data Insights and Information Architect enables the organization to leverage its data assets and capabilities for maximum value. This role is chartered with maturing and curating data models and technologies across the organization. The Senior Data Insights and Information Architect will have demonstrated experience in defining, designing, developing, and implementing data models and services across the enterprise. This role is a high visibility and senior contributor role in the organization that applies deep technical knowledge and skills to tackle the strategic objectives of the organization. The [data role] will have strong organizational change management experience to ensure successful deployment and utilization of advanced analytic capabilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Relentless Focus on solving real business problems and driving business value through data insights and solutions
- Drives and facilitates the innovation and transformation of enterprise data and insights offerings
- Evangelizes and supports Data Governance through active leadership in the process
- Drive and own the development of roadmaps for data and analytic capabilities
- Standardizes practice throughout the organization by defining the guiding principles for data management
- Explores and mines data repositories for unique business insights internally and for clients that drive results and outcomes
- Identify and exploit new data sources and pipelines
- Communicates and translates technical data topics into intuitive business language
- Advocates, and champions the change and the adoption of advanced analytic solutions
- Drives an enterprise-wide unified data model
- Continually educate business and IT stakeholders on new and emerging data topics
- Continually learns and evaluates the evolving data and analytic solutions in the market
- Support the maturing of data boundaries and custodianship across the organization
- Applies data privacy considerations throughout the data environment and solutions
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
- BS degree or higher in Mathematics, Information Technology, or Computer Science
- MBA preferred
- 7+ years’ of work experience in data analysis or systems
- Experience in a Microsoft Environment
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal direction.
- Team-oriented with the ability to create and maintain highly collaborative relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to present technical ideas and concepts in a business and user-friendly language
- Ability to be available for on-call rotation for after-hours critical issues
