Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Pawn Broker to join our team. As a Pawn Broker, you will be responsible for assessing the value of items brought in by customers and providing loans based on their worth. You will also be involved in the sale of pawned items and ensuring excellent customer service. Duties: - Evaluate the value of items brought in by customers for pawn or sale - Determine loan amounts based on item value and customer needs - Negotiate loan terms and interest rates with customers - Maintain accurate records of pawned items, loans, and sales transactions - Display and merchandise pawned items for sale - Assist customers in selecting and purchasing jewelry or other items for sale - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints - Handle cash transactions using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pawn shop floor and stock area Requirements: - Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and paperwork efficiently - Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register or POS system - Knowledge of jewelry sales and appraisal techniques is preferred - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively - Proficiency in technical sales, including knowledge of various electronic devices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Multilingual skills are a plus, as it may enhance communication with diverse customers - Familiarity with phone etiquette when dealing with customer inquiries or follow-ups Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
