Qualifications:
- CDA/FCCPC, Associates degree, Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
- DCF 45 hours (or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment).
- Florida Staff Credential (or willingness to obtain).
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in a preschool setting
- Knowledge of play-based and inquiry-based learning approaches
- Familiarity with Jewish values and traditions (or willingness to learn)
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bi-lingual candidates are a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move around the classroom and playground.
This job description outlines the general nature and level of work expected from a Lead Teacher at the Gordon School. Duties and responsibilities may evolve to meet the changing needs of the school. The Lead Teacher will report directly to the Early Childhood Director and work collaboratively with the school's educational team to provide high-quality early childhood education and care.

This position is a full-time position. Most of the hours required to work are from 7:30am to 2:15pm, Monday through Thru Friday, based on a school calendar year. This position requires flexibility to stay late and arrive early or work weekends during for special events.
