Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Prepare patients for dental work and ensure their comfort
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays (medical imaging)
- Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments
Requirements:
- Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program
- Proficiency in open dental or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Strong understanding of dental receptionist duties and office systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor
