Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with expertise in material testing and special inspection to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing material testing and special inspection activities throughout various phases of construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Should be able to run the lab.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee material testing and special inspection activities for construction projects.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing and inspection plans in accordance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation and application of testing and inspection requirements..
- Manage and supervise a team of inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor work progress, quality of materials, and compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting testing and inspection results, deviations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules related to material testing and inspection activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and financial constraints.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to material testing and special inspection.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience 5 years in project management, specifically in material testing and special inspection for construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and inspection techniques.
- ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
- ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
- ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
