The Sr. Manager, Advertising Media is responsible for the development of paid media campaigns for the US; driving effectiveness, efficiency and innovation throughout our National and Local media plans. In this role, this person will work with the media agencies to maximize paid media investments while working with internal advertising campaign managers to create and deliver campaigns consistent with our marketing priorities. The Sr. Manager, Advertising Media will be responsible for staying at the forefront of a fast-changing media landscape; identifying new media opportunities, and ensuring that we are leveraging these throughout all campaigns to help us grow brand love and can love. The Sr. Manager, Advertising Media will work closely with Global Brand Marketing to champion US advertising initiatives, serve as a media knowledge center and ensure global advertising standards are met.
MEDIA STRATEGY & CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT
Develop integrated media strategies and tactical plans for National and Local advertising campaigns working closely with agency partners to deliver insightful/effective/efficient plans that deliver on our objectives
Responsible for day to day campaign management including media optimizations, budget shifts, and performance monitoring
Ensure all media plans are optimized to deliver reach, awareness, impact and engagement with the Red Bull target and to achieve overarching marketing objectives
Work cross-functionally to ensure integration of Paid, Owned and Earned media
Work with Consumer Insights to develop campaign measurement plans
Ensure agencies develop insightful, comprehensive mid and post campaign analyses and learnings are applied to future campaigns as real-time as possible
MEDIA AGENCY MANAGEMENT
Manage the media agency (including: Media Strategy/Planning/Buying, TV/Video, Programmatic, Social, Search, OOH) to develop plans that deliver on objectives
Ensure ongoing campaign monitoring and optimization, ensuring key insights are delivered and leveraged to strengthen our plans
Support the Sr. Director, Advertising with the annual media planning and buying reviews
Collaborate with media agency to develop and manage campaign benchmarks on an on-going basis
Support the Sr. Director, Advertising with the annual media agency evaluation
BUSINESS PLANNING AND MEDIA BUDGET MANAGEMENT
Maintain day to day campaign media budgets ensuring budgets are optimized against the strongest performing placements, delivering in full
Ensure timely and accurate billing and reconciliation of media activity
Ensure accurate reflection of media activity across planned and reconciled phases within Red Bull’s annual media plan template and internal budget management platforms working closely with the agency and Finance teams
Support the Sr. Director, Advertising in developing the annual business plan
Responsible for working with agency to supply accurate, bi-annual Econometric Modeling/Marketing Mix Modeling inputs on a timely basis.
DIGITAL MEDIA STEWARDSHIP
Implement digital media best practices to deliver more targeted, relevant and “data-driven” advertising campaigns, especially via scaling programmatic advertising
Understand and leverage all data available to improve media targeting efficiency and effectiveness and ensure a consistent audience-centric approach
Ensure our Google Marketing Platform ad tech stack is being fully leveraged
Ensure compliance to CCPA and any other relevant Data privacy laws relevant for US Advertising
Identify, analyze and leverage the latest digital media trends, partners, and emerging technologies, seeking out new opportunities and applying them to our media strategies
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Lead Media Manager and Specialist to successfully develop and execute all US National and Local media strategies and tactical plans
Establish objectives, key results, and workflow needed to ensure a high-performing team
Ensure Media Specialist develops media strategies and plans which are grounded in business priorities and consumer insights
Foster a high-performing, results-based culture within the media team
Provide coaching and development for Media Specialist to support continual growth
Motivate team in the execution of their campaigns, encouraging them to meet and surpass their goals
Foster a high-performing, innovative and results-based culture
MEDIA TRAINING AND EDUCATION
Help develop the in-team expertise across all new media channels
Support the Sr. Director, Advertising with the education and training of the regional Brand Marketing teams as it relates to media planning, buying and efficiency
Provide thought leadership and education to ensure internal Advertising and Brand teams are consistently at the forefront of the ever-evolving media landscape
Bachelor’s degree
8 + years in Media/Advertising
Consumer or lifestyle brand advertising experience. Agency experience desirable
Proficiency in all media channels (Especially Linear TV, Connected TV, and Digital) and integrated media planning - TV planning and buying experience is a plus
Analyze and extract key insights from data and leverage those insights to strengthen plans
Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet strict/demanding deadlines
Autonomous, self-starter with a focus on results
Work collaboratively across the organization and with agency partners
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Understands and lives the Red Bull culture and lifestyle
The base salary range for this position is $136,895 to $151,304 + cash incentives
Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience.
The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
