**Job Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant/ Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting senior accountants in various financial tasks. **Responsibilities**
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Record journal entries and reconcile accounts receivable and payable.
- Assist with month-end close procedures, including accruals and prepaids.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Utilize Quickbooks and other financial software to track and analyze financial data.
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning for private equity clients.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations.
- Perform other accounting and bookkeeping tasks as needed.
**Experience**
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Experience with double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial software, including Quickbooks and Sage is a plus.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting and private equity.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
