Blood Bank of Hawaii needs you! Our Donor Recruitment team is the first point of contact via phone for our potential blood donors. Our most successful team members are passionate, energetic, and high achievers. They realize that with every phone call, three lives can potentially be saved. They are organized, accurate, and PC literate. They are able to work independently, but also never hesitate to jump in and help a team member. Other necessary qualifications include excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on listening and responding appropriately to donor's questions and concerns. Top-notch customer service is a must!
Hour may vary but must be available to work from
Monday- Saturday (Full Time)
M-Th (8a - 4:30p), (Sat 8a - 4p)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Calls prospective blood donors via telephone, using call lists as provided, e-mailed requests or accepts in-coming calls from prospective donors and schedules appointments accordingly and ensuring that the donor meets the eligibility requirements, and enters data into the computer system.
- Meets established donor recruitment appointment goal for appointments and show rate with minimal customer complaints (under established guidelines).
- Ensures that calls are done courteously and professionally. Responds to donor needs and questions in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
- Accurately updates and maintains donor profile information in the donor database.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should be able to read, write, and speak English. The position will be located at the Young Street Donor Center located in the McCully area.
