JOB STATEMENT/SUMMARY
The RN nursing coordinator is responsible for the daily management and supporting the training needs of the nursing and certified medical assistant staff (RN, LPN, MA) at Coplin Health Systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
· Assists in the oversite of the nursing and certified medical assistant staff, ensuring they are properly trained for their roles, and compliant with all responsibilities of their work.
· Observes the provision of clinical services, making appropriate suggestions and recommendations to clinical management for improving techniques, policies, and procedures related to the delivery of services.
· Oversees the training and compliance with the Vaccine For Children program.
· Develops, implements, and evaluates methods to ensure effective and efficient use of clinical staff (RN, LPN, CMA), facilities, equipment, and other resources while maintaining patient care standards and clinical workflow process.
· Collaborates with clinical management and Site Directors to ensures work schedules and assignments for clinical staff are appropriate based on workload, space, equipment availability, demand, and other factors.
· Assists with the planning and implementation of in-service training, in coordination with the clinical, risk management and site directors as applicable for clinical staff (RN, LPN, CMA) to ensure necessary clinical competencies and certifications are achieved and maintained.
· Ensures clinical staff compliance with required medical equipment quality control performance and tracking, monitoring special program audits, pharmaceutical sample control logs, immunization logs, etc.
· Helps to ensure clinical department functions are managed within budget and defined goals.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Quality Officer or Risk Management Director.

BSN preferred; at a minimum, Licensed RN in West Virginia required with at least five (5) years of clinical experience. Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Ohio RN License is a plus.
This job clinically supervises clinical staff (RN, LPN, CMA) .
WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with frequent interruptions. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
