Job Title: Sr. ITProject Manager
Overview: As a Sr. IT Project Manager, you will be instrumental in leading and directing various customer projects across the organization. Your main responsibilities include managing all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards. You will coordinate with technical and administrative teams to align project objectives with business goals, establish robust project documentation, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations. Your strategic oversight will be vital in steering project deliverables towards successful completion, managing stakeholder relationships, and enhancing operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, manage, and oversee the daily operations and tasks of professional, technical, and administrative personnel engaged in various customer projects.
- Execute project management responsibilities, ensuring control over the project's lifecycle by managing its scope, timeline, budget, and quality from start to finish.
- Establish a project timeline, schedule, and milestones, specifying the necessary staffing, labor, and contracted services to adhere to the timeline; track the progress of the project and engage with stakeholders regarding any issues that might affect the delivery and outcomes.
- Formulate the project budget by detailing costs associated with labor and materials; examine invoices to ensure they reflect the delivered services/equipment as per project standards; oversee project expenditures; advocate for invoice payments; and conduct routine reviews to evaluate budget alignment and discuss necessary adjustments or significant discrepancies.
- Set and oversee quality standards, ensuring they meet contractual obligations; manage project scope changes; identify potential crises or deviations from set timelines, budgets, or quality standards; assess and implement solutions; and create contingency plans as needed.
- Assess and endorse professional consulting services for specific projects; create and distribute Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Invitations for Bids (IFBs), and formulate criteria for proposal evaluation; aid in negotiating, drafting, and managing professional service contracts and amendments.
- Generate, evaluate, and maintain various project documents, including schedules, Statements of Work (SOWs), and status reports that detail issues, risks, and deliverables; monitor compliance of agreements and projects with applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
- Assess and recommend the endorsement of project proposals; manage the coordination of design and planning services for projects; and evaluate design plans for alignment with development objectives.
- Collaborate with departments such as grants management, accounting, and financial services to address and resolve any project-related issues.
- Participate in professional meetings and committees; keep informed of new developments and trends in project management and the specific field of assignment; remain updated on relevant federal, state, and local regulations to ensure compliance.
- Direct and guide professional, technical, and contracted personnel in the development, planning, review, and administration of projects.
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced skills in supervising and leading project teams, developing project methodologies, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring project compliance with laws and policies.
- Strong ability to lead and organize project teams, develop and adapt project management strategies, communicate effectively across various levels, manage large budgets, and maintain professional relationships through excellent customer service practices.
- Having experience with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Network Security is a plus.
- Having experience with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and HASTUS is a plus.
