POSITION REVIEW
The Regional Director of Operations reports to the Regional Vice President and is responsible for providing direction and guidance to the operational activities of the Company. Works directly with Divisions' leadership to support attainment of key performance metrics. Will assess constraints and advise on a corrective plan of action. This position serves as a consultant, coach and mentor in the spirit of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the US LBM footprint.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Ensure successful execution of Key Initiatives (COGs reduction/Pricing/Opex Reduction)

Work with local leadership to develop and execute turnaround plans for all Locations
- Monitor key operational metrics and financial measures by division and develop improvement plans as necessary.

Participate in the development and execution of Greenfields & Wind-downs.

Plan and execute projects around continuous improvement.

Share and leverage best practices across operating units.

Provide On-Site Trouble-Shooting as necessary.

Provide PGM Leadership Back-up during transitions.

Assist in integration of acquisitions.

Assist in optimizing performance of market integrations.

Help drive the US LBM culture of empowerment and continuous improvement across all markets.

Oversee the development and execution of a standardized playbook for MF and Commercial segment.

Assist in alignment of Divisions and Shared Servicer Partners (ex: Safety, Purchasing, Pricing, CI, and FP&A).

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Work with HR Business Partners across the Region on associate retention, engagement, and advancement

Execute special projects as directed by the RVP.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Minimum Education required: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or construction management or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 10 to 15 years sales and operational experience with significant career involvement in a fast pace sales and distribution environment.

Strong inter-personal skills required, with a positive approach to collaboration and relationship building.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical, organizational and project planning skills with a proven track record of execution.

Travel up to 70%.

Physical demands include: sitting for extended periods of time, standing and walking, bending or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
