ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a full-time Language Arts Marketing Manager to join our curriculum marketing team. The candidate will be part of a collaborative marketing team and will work together with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement language arts marketing strategies for both Catholic and public schools. This position will lead various language arts marketing initiatives with a strategic focus on building the Loyola Press brand and growing sales of language arts programs within the public school market.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Collaborate in the planning, development, and deployment of strategic marketing plans and campaigns that build product, service, and brand awareness consistently across all marketing channels. This position will focus primarily on language arts product lines
- Strategize the email list building and lead generation efforts for language arts programs and resources based on selling and buying cycles
- Participate in market research initiatives and interpretation of results that will guide and influence public school and language arts marketing strategies
- Coordinate with outside sales team to deliver product training and strategy presentations and/or webinars and identify potential subject matter experts to serve as consultants and/or speakers for regional and national events
- Research and analyze customer needs, along with competing products and services to stay familiar with the latest trends. Share outcomes, key trends, threats, and opportunities as they relate to competing products, promotions, marketing practices, pricing, etc.
- Collaborate with key personnel to leverage the use of all available marketing tools, data, and software, including but not limited to email marketing platforms, lead scoring and marketing automation systems, CRM tools, ERP software, and ecommerce systems
- Other tasks as assigned
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate should have:
College degree and 7–10 years of marketing and educational publishing experience. The candidate should have experience related to marketing and selling within the public school space. The candidate should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to use PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. The candidate should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and be energetic and excited about promoting the Loyola Press brand. The candidate must have the ability to travel occasionally.
