SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the gear/differential installer is the installation of products used in or on off road vehicles. The technician is also responsible for the safety, maintenance, and cleanliness of the shop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verifies parts to be installed on vehicle for accuracy and safety
- Completes installations within allotted time
- Performs alignments and NVH diagnostics when necessary
- Works with salesperson to recommend and obtain additional parts during installation
- Works with shop manager to diagnose and remedy any installation errors
- Maintains safety and functionality of the shop by following standard rules and procedures
- Test drives vehicles to assess completion of installation and alignment
- Understands and complies with Federal, State and local regulations that affect service department operations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right to know, etc.
ATTENDANCE:
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.
