Maui Recovery Center is an 8-bed transformational treatment center for individuals with a desire to live sober, looking to live in a safe community and nurturing environment while receiving ongoing support, counseling, therapy, treatment and guidance from caring staff to further enhance and strengthen their recovery journey. A full continuum of care and transformational recovery.
The Therapist plays a critical role in our organization and in the lives of our clients in this position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Therapist reports directly to the Clinical Director
- Obtain and interpret all relevant screening, assessment, and initial treatment planning information
- Educates client in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
- Prepares treatment plans, initial, updates, and discharge treatment plans, discharge summaries, Charting progress notes.
- Provides individual, group, and family counseling to clients as required.
- Works with multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of Medical Director, Clinical Director, Executive Director, Therapists and Staff to identify and meet the clinical needs of the client and to assist in their overall well-being.
- Participates in all staff meetings.
- Works with clients to complete all intake, admission, discharge and transfer paperwork.
- Documents client progress through counseling and interaction through groups.
- Completes client psychosocial and an individualized treatment plan within the required time frame.
- Identifies any clinical/case management needs and works to address those needs.
- Performs direct one-on-one client contact per week through individual, group and family counseling.
- Reports client abuse, neglect and exploitation as required.
- Reports client grievances as required.
- Ensures compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA)
- Responsible for maintaining proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements.
- Always acts in the best interests of the program and company; honors, supports, and protects the proprietary data and rights of the company.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by clinic leadership.
- Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s Degree specializing in social work, psychology and/or counseling from an accredited college.
- Must Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)
- OR Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)
- OR Equivalent
- Prefer three (3) years’ experience as a case manager/therapist in addictions, social services, mental health or related field.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour

Experience:
