SUMMARY:
Looking for a machinist/Toolmaker that can perform, but not limited to the following.
Under limited supervision, setup, and operate precision machines (CNC, Press, Milling Machine, Band Saw, Shear etc.) Confers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems. Performs daily maintenance and cleaning of machines and workspace. Setup, Measurement of machine tools. Ability to setup and create programs for CNC milling machine. Ability to perform root cause analysis of machining errors. A toolmaker is responsible for making Engineered prototype parts, precision tools (such as jigs, molds and dies). They will work with a variety of materials including metals, alloys, plastics and ceramics. A toolmaker’s job will also involve using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, so a solid background in a variety of technical and IT processes is important.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•A toolmaker’s job will also involve using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, so a solid background in a variety of technical and IT processes is important.
•Support all lean (EMS/EPS) plan and activities affecting the relevant maintenance area.
•Team oriented personality who can work well by themselves or on a team in an international environment.
•Support the facility management for the relevant area.
•Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with operations, planners and engineering to maximize efficient productivity.
•Ensure adherence to safety rules and standards and maintain good housekeeping.
•Be available prior and after shift to ensure a timely shift transition.
•Ability to troubleshoot and repair dies/molds
•Maintain continual efforts consistent with minimizing scrap, rework, and controlling costs of expendables and product.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School Diploma required
•Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
•5 plus years’ experience in a Machinist/toolmaker role
•Proficient in Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•Basic knowledge and experience of principles, procedures, work routines and skills in the related field of work.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Ability to program and operate CNC mills, CNC EDM's, CNC lathe and other standard manual tool room equipment.
•CAD/CAM experience. Including AutoCAD, Master cam, and Catia.
•Uses computer aided design software for creating complex models, patterns, templates, and component detailed drawings for new product concepts.
•Complete knowledge of equipment and practices associated with fixture, prototype, mold and die building.
•Full knowledge of precision inspection practices, hand tools and equipment
•In depth knowledge of materials used in the fabrication of tools, prototypes, dies and molds.
•Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and tool drawings.
•Experience with Tooling and adjusting Speeds and Feeds

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative, but not limited to, of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
•This position is very active and requires frequent (4 to 12 hours) standing, walking (on concrete surfaces)
•The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with assistance.
•Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs.
•Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedly.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
•Work will require very fine dexterity, tactile sensitivity and extreme muscular control of the hands.

Pay: $24.43 - $29.42 per hour
