Position Summary The Park Street School Admissions Department seeks an experienced Assistant Admissions Director to assist with the development, implementation and assessment of the schools admission process and help guide the recruitment, tracking, and enrollment of qualified candidates for admission. The Assistant Admissions Director reports to the Director of Admissions. The Assistant Director assists the Director with maintenance and advancement of Admissions related logistics, specifically event management, campus tours, data and record management, staff and parent volunteer coordination, and assisting applicants throughout the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.The Assistant Admissions Director will warmly welcome prospective families and support them throughout the admission process. This includes the ability to enthusiastically articulate the benefits of an independent school education and the unique features of Park Street School. The position also works closely with the entire Park Street School community and requires highly developed organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Primary Responsibilities Actively support the mission, vision, and promotion of Park Street School to the internal and external community and encourage others to do the same.Help set and execute high standards for ethics, accuracy, and quality of information and communication throughout the department and school.Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective candidates and their families through phone calls, emails, campus tours, etc. from point of inquiry through follow-up and enrollment. Help implement a systemic follow-up strategy and sequence for all inquiries and applicants.Manage logistics and communication regarding all stages of the admissions funnel, including initial data collection, answering questions, scheduling tours and visits, advising parents during the online application process, scheduling student admissions playgroups and visit days, and assisting families with the final enrollment process.Track data using the Veracross database system, manage the online admissions application process, and oversee the general admissions email inbox.Help envision, plan, manage, and execute all admissions events involving prospective and admitted students including, but not limited to, Open Houses, Preschool Playgroups, Parent Interviews, Elementary Shadow Days, Yield Receptions, Retention Events, Admissions Committee Meetings, New Family Welcome Nights, Parent Orientation, and Informational Sessions.Help identify, recruit, organize and work with staff and parent volunteers for events and meetings throughout the year. Help strengthen the Admissions Parent Ambassador Network.Collaborate with the Communications Director to develop the marketing, social media, and advertisement of eventsProfessionally represent Park Street School at feeder schools, informational fairs, and community events. Accurately and enthusiastically reflect program and ethos.Establish strong working relationships with Park Street School faculty, staff, and Division Directors. Help motivate and facilitate their understanding of and involvement with the admissions and retention process.Review application materials, ensure all applicant files contain complete documentation, and participate in Admissions Committee meetings and the decision-making processParticipate in the life of the school by maintaining a presence during all-school events, administrative meetings, professional development days, and other school activities.Perform school duties as deemed necessary - such as drop-off and pick-up supervision, lunch, and recess supervision, front desk coverage, etc.
